Jason joined Fortune Manning in November 2008 having previously worked as a Crown Prosecutor conducting jury trials on behalf of the Crown.  Jason regularly appeared in the District and High Courts on all Crown matters including appeals.  He completed his LLB in 2004 whilst working in the New Zealand Police.

Insurance Litigation

• Advising insurers on policy interpretation and indemnity on various policies including public liability, business cover, material damage, fire and general, home owners/contents, motor vehicle
• Acting on subrogated and defence claims
• Statutory liability issues including prosecutions under the Civil Aviation Act and Resource Management Act
• Appearing in the District and High Courts on behalf of insurers
• Attending to Judicial Settlement Conference and private mediations

Insolvency and Debt Recovery

• Advising clients on debt recovery proceedings including statutory demands, liquidation and bankruptcy proceedings, garnishee and attachment orders
